Kelvin to RGB & DMX Converter
Convert a color temperature (1000–10000 K) to sRGB, HEX, and DMX channel values for RGB, RGBW, and RGBWW/CW fixtures.
Convert Kelvin to RGB and DMX values
Dial in a color temperature and get the matching sRGB values, HEX code, and DMX channel values for your fixture type.
How to use the Kelvin to DMX converter
- Drag the slider or type a Kelvin value (1000–10000 K).
- Select your fixture type: RGB, RGBW, or RGBWW/CW.
- Read the color swatch and description for the selected temperature.
- Copy the DMX channel values for each channel.
Notes
Color temperature and light quality
Lower Kelvin values produce warm amber tones. Higher values produce cool blue-white light. Standard tungsten is 3200 K; daylight is around 5600 K.
RGBW white channel
For RGBW fixtures, a portion of the light is shifted to the white LED for higher efficiency and better accuracy at near-white temperatures.
Warm white / cool white mixing
RGBWW/CW fixtures blend warm (2700 K) and cool (6500 K) white LEDs using mired-space interpolation for accurate colour temperature control.
RGB approximation
Pure RGB fixtures approximate colour temperature through channel mixing. Accuracy is limited compared to dedicated white channels.
